Our primary purpose is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ

Hola! Bonjou! Hello!

My name is Keith Singer. I am the Director of Grace Mission, husband of Claudia, and father of three.

I came to know Jesus as my Savior at a young age, hearing the Good News of Christ from my parents during my childhood years. My interest in missions started in my teenage years during missions trips to northern Canada, where I was faced with the need to further the Gospel to those who had never heard it. My interest in missions and ministry, in general, continued through my Bible College, years where I met my wife and was introduced to the serious proposition of committing my life to the ministry of the Word.

Claudia and I were married shortly after Bible College, and it wasn’t long before we set out to Idaho, where I became a pastoral intern. After serving with the wonderful church in Idaho, I was called to pastor another wonderful church in North-Central Washington. After several years of ministry, we were called to Grace Mission. We feel that we have family members stretched across the country, not only with siblings in multiple states but also with brothers and sisters in Christ in various places, whom we find very dear to us. As missionaries, our sending church is Sterling Berean Church in Sterling, Colorado.

My family and I love the outdoors and visiting with friends and family. I love traveling to the field and working alongside our fellow servants of Christ in Haiti and Mexico. My central goal for the mission is to continue evangelistic efforts and church planting in Mexico and Haiti. I am passionate about teaching the Word and training and encouraging others to do the same. If you would like to know more about the Singer family, contact our home office! We’d love to chat with you!

The Lluvias Church has concentrated a great deal on building family relationships. Seminars, outings, and counseling are making a big difference, as evidenced by the solid families in the church. The outreach includes VBS, medical/dental work, women’s ministries, men’s ministries, and any way they can share the gospel.

Through Ciro’s dental ministry, they have ventured into difficult villages and lead some to Christ. Small groups meet in La Luz and Magdalena. A concerted effort was made to help with physical needs in the earthquake-ravaged area of Comitancillo in 2018. Many came to Christ through this ministry, and a visit occurs for follow-up and discipleship every 6 weeks.

For many years, Azel and Meli Lopez lead the ministry in several villages. The torch was passed to their son David Lopez and his wife Karina in 2015. David has had experience as a lawyer, police, and a teacher. Karina is a secretary in a government office. They work very hard in ministry on weekends, and during the week.

This small village is having an impact in the surrounding area in a wonderful way. This happens through children’s ministry, helping poor families with clothing, economic development projects, evangelism outreach, and discipleship.

Through the help of Grace Mission supporters, a roof was installed over a large patio area at their own home. This comfortably will accommodate many people. A bathroom is going to be constructed so that their personal space is not needed for the church family. Please pray for them in the new venture. They are so blessed by God, and enthusiastic about what He is doing. The long range plan is to multiply leaders, and then multiply church plants.

oaxaca village

Adequez is a small village in an area where there are very few believers and Bible teaching churches. This group of Christians came into existence because one man prayed many years for his village. Although small, they have vision and a burden for the village they live in and the surrounding area.

In 2009, they dedicated a new brick building. It is a testimony to the area, and will be a much warmer place to meet on cold mountain nights and days.

Los Alamos is an ideal location for a new church plant, as it is located on the edge of a suburb of Oaxaca City that has no evangelical church. Carlos and Sara Vasquez, and their family, have been ministering since July 2012. It has been a challenge to make the adjustments for the family, and things have been tight financially, but they have continued faithfully and are seeing God bless the ministry.

The church is growing, and new believers are coming in. They have used a unique children’s ministry to reach the community. Children are highly motivated to come and see what the puppets will say. The puppets, visuals, worksheets, and crafts all teach a Bible lesson, coupled with the gospel. Moms are coming to see what makes their kids so excited. This has opened doors of opportunity to minister to them.

Sara is a certified doctor, and has found her niche in helping pregnant moms and newborns. She has averted numerous abortions, and has been able to share the gospel, and give counseling to these desperate women. The result is some beautiful babies coming into this world.

Cesar and Lola are people who have attended the Lluvias Church for many years.  They started a small group, eventually lead some people to Christ, and began discipling them. The group has grown to about 30 people, and the building has been upgraded from just a simple roof to a totally enclosed building. Different couples help with the church, and the outreach ministry that takes place.

April of 2013, German came to the Children’s Club. He was a boy who had very low self esteem, could not read or write very well, wouldn’t talk, and did not take care of himself. Later, I found out that he did not live with his parents. He was abandoned, with a father in jail in the United States. His mom had immigrated to the States as well. He only ate processed foods. Recently, we celebrated his 11th birthday at church. We gave him a cake, and praised God for the changes in his life. In May of 2014, God brought back his father from the United States, who came to know Christ in prison. On the 21st of June, his oldest sister accepted Christ as her Savior.

We thank the Lord for rescuing a child like him. To Him be the Glory!

The orphanage was started with Ray and Bonnie VanSlyke in 2006. It has been a huge challenge as they battle with the culture, spiritual forces of wickedness, wicked people, and sickness. We know the Lord brought them to us to start the ministry at which they worked at faithfully until 2018. God had a plan in place as change came. While the years passed, two different couples were being trained for leading the orphanage.

Mark and Kristine Bender were coming to Haiti working with a ministry involved with providing clean water in remote areas. In the meantime, they were staying at the compound and working with the kids alongside the VanSlykes. As they got to know the kids, a burden developed to help the kids become strong Christians and launch into life as productive Christian citizens.

This change-over occurred at the end of 2018. It has not been without its struggles as the kids have had to adjust to new leadership. But God has been faithful and we are making progress.

One of the key areas of work has been in education. Kristine felt a huge need to improve the schooling for the kids and the need to give the kids a route to finding a trade and path to get there.

We invested in the ABEKA education program provided by video. This has been an excellent way to bring high quality education to the kids, along with Biblical training that is involved with each class. It is an expensive program, but we have seen God supply the need.

We began construction of the Elderly Care home in September of 2011. On June 2, 2014, we had our first two widows arrive to be in the home. The next day, another lady arrived. All three were chosen by the leaders of the Limbe church because of their situations. The Bible tells us that we need to care for true widows, or those who have no children or family left. All of these ladies qualify. Since then, we have added another 5 residents. Several have already gone to Heaven, having been cared for til the end.

It is great to see them sitting, visiting, and enjoying the new comforts around them. They had their first shower and were heard laughing and talking. With 3 good meals a day, we hope they will be provided for in a way they are not used to. Devotions are held every morning, which includes the gospel. Several have come to salvation through Jesus Christ. One man, Mondesi, was brought from the “poor house” where he was near death. He believed in Jesus when he arrived and was with us for 4 years before he passed away. We have had 13 residents over all time and we have 7 currently.

The Haitian staff, led by Wedson, is handling things very well. Everyhing is clean and neat. He is very trustworthy with finances, and has proven to have a heart for the seniors. Several of the orphan kids are providing staffing, and given a small amount of pay for their work. This gives them a chance to learn a work ethic, and to be neat and clean.

Recently, the property has added chickens, a vegetable garden, fruit trees, goats, and a new shaded sitting area. It is a beautiful place, and we thank God for what He has done!

what we do

Church Planting

We believe that Church Planting goes hand-in-hand with evangelism. As men, women, and children come to know the Lord as their Savior, it is important that they have a place to fellowship, worship, and learn with other believers. Just as the Apostles planted churches wherever the Lord allowed, so also must we. Church planting includes, but is not limited to, gathering believers together in a local place on a regular basis, training qualified church leaders, and procuring a building for the believers to gather. We are thrilled that God has given us the privilege to be His servants and Build His Church!

Leadership Training

We believe that training men and women to lead in the ministry is one of the most important things we can do. We train qualified men for the pastorate and qualified women for other Biblically defined leadership roles. Through our one-on-one and in-class teaching, we have raised up many for the work of the ministry. Currently, we partner with the Bible Training Centre for Pastors for our curriculum needs in Haiti and utilize several means in Mexico for the same purpose (bibletraining.com). Please pray with us that God would supply more missionaries to serve in the field. In both Mexico and Haiti, the harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few!

Character Training

Over fifteen years ago, a group of men in Haiti gathered to discuss better ways to learn from the Word of God and to train others to do the same. After seeking the counsel and assistance of Grace Mission leadership, these men started what is now known as the “Character Conference Ministry.” Today, men and women of different ages and backgrounds benefit from the Biblical Precepts brought forward during character conferences. To date, over 5,000 people have attended these conferences and received faithful teaching from God’s Word and a practical understanding of its application.

Orphanage & Senior Home

James 1:27 tells us, “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” (NKJV). Years ago, Grace Mission set out to care for orphans and widows in their distress. Today, we have graduated several orphans from our program and continue to care for orphans and widows on our compound in Haiti. It has been a privilege to care for both young and elderly folks who have nowhere else to turn. More than that, it is a blessing to introduce them to the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him!

Medical Ministry

In both Haiti and Mexico, we have several medical ministries. In Haiti, we have a dental ministry that provides care for those in need and serves as a Gospel witness to those who hear. In Mexico, we have a medical ministry led by Dr. Sara. Casa Compasiva is the base of operations for this ministry. Though not directly a Grace Mission ministry, Casa Compasiva (House of Compassion) is a birthing center where women and children are cared for, and the Gospel is proclaimed. Casa Compasiva has been a wonderful blessing to us, and we have had opportunities to partner with them in support, work projects, medical brigades, and prayer. Medical ministry is also utilized to reach rural villages with the Gospel.

Aquila & Priscilla Institute

Several years ago, a plan was hatched to start a Life & Technical School in Haiti. We noticed that while there are several trade schools across the country, there is a crucial need to train young people in both trades and the principles of Biblical truth. We hope to provide “Training for Life in the Family and the Workplace” in our school. Coming at the end of 2025, we are prayerfully looking forward to the Aquila & Priscilla Institute!
